Poshmark Fee Calculator
Poshmark is the simplest fee structure in resale and the most brutal at low prices: a flat $2.95 under $15, then 20% with no cap. Payment processing is already inside that number — there is nothing else to add except the shipping discount you choose to absorb.
Poshmark's two-tier fee, and where the line sits
Poshmark charges a flat $2.95 on sales under $15 and 20% on sales of $15 or more. Payment processing is included in both, so those are the only platform fees — no listing fee, no monthly subscription, and unlike eBay there is no per-order fixed charge stacked on top.
| Sale price | Poshmark fee | You keep | Effective rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| $5 | $2.95 | $2.05 | 59.0% |
| $10 | $2.95 | $7.05 | 29.5% |
| $14.99 | $2.95 | $12.04 | 19.7% |
| $20 | $4.00 | $16.00 | 20.0% |
| $75 | $15.00 | $60.00 | 20.0% |
| $200 | $40.00 | $160.00 | 20.0% |
The $15 line makes bundling a pricing strategy
Three $8 items sold separately carry three $2.95 fees — $8.85 on $24 of revenue, or 37%. Bundled into a single $24 listing they carry one 20% fee of $4.80, and you keep an extra $4.05 for the same goods. If your inventory is small-ticket, bundling is not a marketing tactic on Poshmark; it is the only way to make the fee structure work.
Shipping is where the calculator surprises people
Buyers normally pay the $8.27 USPS Priority label, so shipping is not part of the fee base and the 20% never touches it. The moment you offer a discount — a $5.95 label, or free shipping as a promotion — you absorb the difference out of a payout that has already been reduced by 20%. A "free shipping" promotion on a $40 item costs $8.27, which is more than the $8.00 commission.
Poshmark Fee Calculator — FAQ
How much does Poshmark take in 2026?
Poshmark charges a flat $2.95 on sales under $15 and 20% of the sale price on sales of $15 or more. Payment processing is included in both rates, and there is no listing fee or monthly subscription.
Does Poshmark charge a payment processing fee on top?
No. Unlike eBay and Etsy, Poshmark bundles card processing into its commission — the 20% or $2.95 is the complete platform deduction. Any other amount missing from your payout is a shipping discount, an overweight label charge or a Promoted Closet spend.
Is it better to price at $14.99 or $15.00?
At $14.99 the fee is $2.95 and you keep $12.04; at $15.00 the fee becomes $3.00 and you keep $12.00. The difference is only five cents, so pricing just under the threshold is not the win people assume — the real problem is selling under $15 at all, where the flat fee can exceed 30% of the sale.
Does Poshmark charge a fee on shipping?
No. The commission applies to the item price only, and the buyer normally pays the $8.27 USPS Priority label. If you discount shipping or offer it free, the difference comes out of your payout as a separate cost, not as a larger commission.
What is Promoted Closet and does it pay for itself?
Promoted Closet is Poshmark's optional paid boost — roughly $5 to $20 per campaign depending on duration and reach — and it is charged whether or not the item sells. Treat it as advertising: on a $20 item a $5 boost needs a quarter of the cost recovered from one extra sale, which usually means it only pays on higher-priced inventory.
